Conceptual Brand Development (United Kingdom)/ Portfolio Project

Background:

Clarence Dutchie is a premium Jamaican cuisine brand created to bring authentic island flavour to the London food market. The brand was built around rich culinary heritage, warm hospitality, and the experience of enjoying real Jamaican food with a refined, memorable presentation.

Challenge:

The brand needed to feel both culturally rooted and commercially elevated. It had to stand apart from casual Caribbean food brands while remaining welcoming, familiar, and true to the flavour, comfort, and soul of Jamaican cuisine.

Resolution:

I developed a visual identity system that balanced vintage Jamaican character with a polished premium feel. The brand direction used deep green, copper-gold accents, bold typography, textured visuals, packaging applications, and food photography guidance to create a look that felt timeless, warm, and unmistakably Jamaican.

Final Deliverables:

Brand Folio, Logo System, Brand Positioning, Color Palette, Typography Direction, Brand Textures, Packaging Concepts, Product Label Applications, Photography Styling, Brand Usage Guidance, Digital Brand Assets, and Visual Brand Applications.
